Home and Commercial Insurance inspections: Home Inspections in Dundas, Hamilton, Burlington, Grimsby, Stoney creek
Insurance inspections performed by a certified home inspector in Dundas, Hamilton, Burlington, Grimsby, Stoney creek.
Often, an insurance provider will want to know what materials have been used, how old they might be, are they in safe and good working condition.
They may want to know if they need upgrading- such as knob & Tube wiring, galvanized plumbing pipe, vermiculite insulation and so on. If so and you need some help, our insurance inspection can find this out for you. Your insurance inspection includes a written report of all materials inspected along with photos for verification. The following items are evaluated:
- Heating systems.
- Roofing components- Covering, framing, sheathing and attic insulation.
- Plumbing systems- supply and distribution piping material, drainage pipe material, water heaters.
- Electrical systems- Main service material, distribution panel, type of wiring, presence of GFCI/AFCI breakers or outlets.
- We will also report on any safety related items as requested by the insurance company or noted during the inspection.
This is a condensed inspection and is not intended to replace a full home inspection. A full home inspection will cover these items, plus the entire house and I recommend that you consider doing this to get a better idea of the condition of the house you are looking at.
Our residential insurance inspection fee is: $175.00 for any size house. Please add $30.00 for each additional electric panel, furnace/boiler, attic, basement or crawlspace.
Our Commercial insurance inspection fee is dependent on factors such as; building size, location, electric service size, HVAC sizing etc. We would be pleased to provide this service to you, however we ask that you contact us directly for a quote.
